During the past few days, many of you will have seen media reports concerning an impromptu social gathering arranged by a group of parents following the APS football game between Haileybury and Caulfield Grammar on Saturday, 29 July 2023.

It was with great disappointment that the School learnt that several members of staff attended this event. As a result, we immediately stood down all staff involved whilst we investigated. We have taken further disciplinary action against staff members who were regarded as having contravened professional obligations that require staff not to attend social gatherings with parents and students outside of school-organised events.

The safety and wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance to us, and the School is supporting all those involved. We are committed to taking every possible step to ensure this situation does not happen again.
