Connection and joy at the Early Learning Centre

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) was filled with excitement and fun as our youngest learners participated in the school-wide Wellbeing Week. This special event provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to engage in activities that nurtured their sense of connection, happiness, and fun.

The week began with a delicious shared lunch where children and educators came together to enjoy a range of amazing dishes. The beautifully prepared food brought in by our wonderful families reflected the diverse community within the ELC, showcasing flavours and traditions from various cultures. It was heartwarming to see the children sharing meals, trying new tastes, and expressing their gratitude for the experience.

Throughout the week, the children dressed up in their favourite disco outfits, complete with sparkly tops, fun hats, and colourful accessories, and danced to an array of popular tunes. From groovy moves to cheerful laughter, the atmosphere was full of enthusiasm and excitement. Dancing not only brought smiles to everyone’s faces but also encouraged physical activity, self-expression, and a chance to let their creativity shine.

The celebrations continued with a fun filled Water Play day. The children delighted in splashing, pouring, and experimenting with water in a safe and engaging environment. This sensory activity provided endless fun and encouraged creativity, teamwork, and exploration—all while keeping cool under the warm sun.

Wellbeing Week at the ELC wasn’t just about having fun; it was also an opportunity to learn the importance of looking after ourselves and each other. Whether it was sharing a meal, dancing with friends, or enjoying water play, the week emphasised the value of connection, kindness, and self-care. These experiences helped foster a sense of community, built resilience, and encouraged the children to explore ways to care for their physical and emotional wellbeing.

We’re so proud of our young learners for embracing each moment with enthusiasm and positivity. Wellbeing Week at the ELC was a true celebration of togetherness, fun, and the importance of making time for play and connection. Here’s to many more opportunities to celebrate wellbeing and build lasting memories together!
