HRS Level Up

Your Year 10 adventure starts now.

Year 10 at Haileybury Rendall School is a milestone. It is a year to grow, explore, and step confidently into the Senior School journey. HRS Level Up is our orientation program designed to help students build independence, confidence and connection as they prepare for the exciting years ahead.

From global adventures and creative projects to sports, leadership, community and real-world learning, our students take every opportunity to learn, grow and shine. Through our outstanding culture, dedicated teachers, global opportunities and innovative facilities, we ensure every Year 10 student feels inspired to aim high and achieve more.

A culture where every student matters

At HRS, we have built a school culture where students feel safe, supported and genuinely cared for. Every student matters, every day, and that belief drives everything we do. With some of the best teachers in Australia leading our classrooms, students are encouraged to aim high, think big and make the most of every opportunity.

Pathways, choice and the VCE advantage

As students step into their Senior School years, they’ll experience the flexibility and excellence of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). From 2026, students will have even more opportunities to tailor their studies, including new electives in Art, Design, Media, and Technology, as well as VET subjects offered onsite.

Masterclasses with the masters

Experience university-style learning right here at HRS. Our Year 10 Masterclasses bring together some of our most brilliant teachers, Dr Ritchie (English), Mr Nowak (Humanities), Ms Hartskeerl (Science) and Principal McGregor (Mathematics), for special sessions that stretch student’s minds and spark curiosity.

A global network for life

When you graduate from Haileybury Rendall School, you join a lifelong global community of more than 50,000 alumni through the Old Haileyburians Association (OHA). The OHA offers mentoring, career advice, job support and regular events, including a Darwin chapter. Plus a relocation bursary for HRS graduates moving interstate for university.
