Katherine Ziebell
Head of Middle School BA (Monash), MTeach (Melb)
Katherine joined Haileybury Rendall School drawn by the opportunity to create meaningful connections and positive change in the Middle School context. She was excited by the prospect of living and working in Darwin, especially due to the environment and community feel of the city.
Before joining HRS, Katherine had a series of teaching and leadership roles at Carey Baptist Grammar School in Melbourne where she was Middle School Head of House and Year 10 Coordinator. This involved leading large-scale teams and contributing to the development of student wellbeing, pastoral structures and curriculum initiatives.
Katherine brings expertise in curriculum innovation, experiential education and design-thinking approaches that place students at the centre of learning.
An experienced English teacher and passionate advocate for student engagement and inclusivity, Katherine was inspired to become an educator due to her love of learning and desire to positively impact future generations.
She is committed to creating learning environments that balance academic rigour with genuine care and to contributing to HRS’s continued growth and success.
Katherine has a son in the ELC at the School.
