Marc Vegter

Marc is originally from central Victoria where he grew up on a dairy farm before moving to Melbourne to study. After graduating, he joined Haileybury in Melbourne as a Years 5–9 Mathematics and Science teacher.

Marc has spent his entire teaching career at Haileybury Melbourne and is an accomplished educator whose skills span leadership, pastoral care and data-driven strategy.

During his time at Haileybury, he has managed the day-to-day operations of the Brighton Campus as Acting Head of Senior School. As Head of Data Informed Teaching and Learning, Marc led the collection and analysis of student data to improve teaching and learning. He has also been instrumental in the development and implementation of PowerBi dashboards that are used across campuses.

In addition, Marc has helped develop and roll out a Pastoral Care Recording System and is a member of the School’s Data Governance Committee.

For the past eight years, Marc has also been Head of Rendall House and has managed Haileybury’s successful triathlon program.

He now lives in Darwin with his wife and two children who attend the Junior School.

Marc is a keen road cyclist, trail and road runner, and former triathlete.
