Tom Ziebell
Director of Boarding Grad Dip Ed (Notre Dame), B Arts (La Trobe)
Tom joined Haileybury Rendall School in 2026 having previously worked in schools across Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. He has held a range of education and leadership roles and has developed a strong understanding of the diverse ways in which young people grow and learn.
He was attracted to a career in education due to his passion for working with young people to create the next generation of leaders who will shape our future.
Tom’s work so far has taken him from remote communities to coastal campuses and he brings with him a deep appreciation for the value of learning through experience and challenge.
Most recently, Tom led the Carey Zero program at Carey Grammar in Melbourne. This experiential learning initiative focused on adventure and enhancing community connection and personal development.
He has a long history of working in the outdoors and believes that shared experiences, travel and adventure play a key role in shaping the character and resilience of young people.
In his spare time, Tom loves to spend his time outdoors exploring, cooking and cycling.
