Dr Susannah Ritchie

Dr Susannah Ritchie is a born-and-bred Territorian who, after spending 16 years studying and teaching in Melbourne, returned home to the Northern Territory. Susannah then joined Haileybury Rendall School as Head of English in 2020, before stepping into the role of Head of Teaching and Learning Coaching in 2023.
In 2026, Susannah became a member of the HRS Executive Leadership Team when she assumed the role of Director of Coaching.
Before joining the School, Susannah was Head of English at Hampton Park Secondary College and Emerald Secondary College in Victoria.
Susannah’s academic background includes a Master of Teaching from the University of Melbourne, and she completed a Doctor of Philosophy at La Trobe University. She also completed a postgraduate study in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Swinburne University.
Susannah is passionate about supporting teachers in the classroom and working closely with her students to help them achieve their best possible outcomes in English.
Her four sons, including twins, all attend HRS. When her busy lifestyle permits, Susannah enjoys listening to audiobooks while out running.
