We are pleased to introduce the Haileybury Rendall School Parents and Friends Committee to you.
The mission of the Parents and Friends Committee is to enhance the educational and social experiences of Haileybury Rendall School’s community of students, families, staff and friends of the school. This Committee is an avenue through which the parent voice is heard on a range of issues, and our committee has been actively supporting a number of events this year.
Let’s hear from some of our wonderful committee members:
Quiz Night and Auction
On 9 May, HRS hosted its 5th annual Quiz Night & Auction Fundraiser. The event brought together over 190 parents, teachers, staff, and friends of the School, who came together for an amazing garden-party themed night of engaging trivia and socialising, as well as some healthy competitive bidding on the wide range of auction items on offer. There were a lot of laughs, with Maria Cicchiello (Head of Operations), acting as our MC on the night, and one lucky guest should be expecting a knock on their door any day now from Mr. Brendan Evans (our Head of Middle School), after successfully bidding on his offering of lawn mowing and garden maintenance!
This year's event was a resounding success, raising over $22,000 to support the launch of a master-planned grounds beautification.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of the Darwin business community, as well as the support we receive from our HRS families, and so we would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who donated. We look forward to another amazing Quiz Night in 2026!
Kim (Year 7 and 10 parent)
Hi, I'm Jonathan. I helped out at the Quiz night, assisting people with check-in and tallying up the scores. It was an excellent opportunity to get involved and meet the wider Haileybury Rendall School Community! The garden party theme featured a wide array of costumes, and a great range of donated auction items was available.

Mother’s Day Breakfast
Hi, I'm Mick, a Year 3 parent.
Nisita (parent of a preschooler and Year 3 student) and I helped with flipping some pancakes at the Mother's Day breakfast at the Junior School. We had two barbeques running hot to keep up with the constant flow of parents and students.
It was a delicious and delightful way to celebrate our mothers at the start of the busy day.
We are looking forward to more fantastic involvement throughout Semester 2.
Mick (Year 3 parent)
