Father's Day
The ELC was delighted to host a special Father’s Day afternoon tea, bringing together children and their dads, grandads, uncles, and other special father figures and families for an afternoon filled with joy, connection, and togetherness. The Preschool yard came alive with the wonderful buzz of conversation as families gathered around decorated tables to share a delicious spread. Fresh fruit, pastries, juices, and a wonderful welcoming atmosphere all made for a wonderful evening.
Children beamed with pride as they performed their two-song concert before guided their guests through their learning spaces and inviting them to play. It was heartwarming to see fathers sitting at craft tables, construction zones, joining in games, and even enjoying a book or two in the reading corner. These moments of shared learning highlighted the important role that father figures play in children’s lives and how treasured these connections are.
A highlight of the afternoon was our Father’s Day activity stations, where children and dads worked side by side on fun challenges. From mini obstacle courses and construction play to making keepsake crafts, there was plenty of laughter and teamwork to be found. Families also enjoyed our photo booth, capturing snapshots of smiles and memories to hold onto for years to come.
The celebration created a wonderful atmosphere of community, with fathers connecting not only with their own children but also with one another. Many families expressed how meaningful it was to pause, spend quality time together, and feel part of the ELC community. Our heartfelt thanks go to all the families who joined us, helping to make this Father’s Day celebration so special. It was a beautiful reminder of the strong bonds we share and the joy that comes from celebrating together.
