Thank you for a wonderful term, everyone!
It has certainly been a busy one, and it has been fantastic to see so many students and families engaged in Junior School life.
This term, we were proud to have two teams represent HRS in the Tournament of Minds competition. Both teams received Honours—a remarkable achievement that reflects their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
In addition, several students represented our school in the National Spelling Bee, performing remarkably well. These successes highlight not only the dedication of our students and staff but also the strength of the Explicit Instruction teaching model that we value so highly at HRS.
We also enjoyed a number of special events across the term. NAIDOC Week provided rich opportunities for students to learn about and celebrate Indigenous culture. Book Week was another highlight, with students dressing up in fantastic costumes and enjoying the Book Parade. House activities have continued to strengthen friendships and school spirit, with students always striving to do their personal best.
A special highlight was the school musical, The Addams Family, which showcased many of our Year 5 and 6 students shining on stage. It was a joy to watch their talent, confidence, and commitment come to life in such a fantastic production.
I hope the upcoming holiday break provides an opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy the last of this beautiful weather.
Thank you again for your support. I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 4.
