Empowering growth through sports
This term, the Star’s team has been keeping active with a range of fitness-focused activities designed to get students moving and engaged. Middle School students took part in afternoon tennis sessions in partnership with the team from Tennis NT. During the program, the girls learned fundamental tennis skills, enjoyed a variety of games, and even put their new techniques to the test in friendly challenges.
A big thank you goes to Grace and the Tennis NT team for their ongoing support and encouragement as our students developed confidence and skills on the court. Middle School students also recently took part in the Dolphin’s Cup, a fantastic event organised by the dedicated team at NRL NT. The girls had the opportunity to play touch rugby against other schools, meet some of the Dolphins players, and wrap up the day with a well-deserved swim.
Meanwhile, senior students embraced the challenge of gym workouts, attending sessions at both Fernwood and Try Fitness gyms. Led by dedicated personal trainers, the sessions pushed the girls to perform at their best, building strength, resilience, and teamwork. It was fantastic to see the girls’ energy and determination in these sessions! These activities reflect the program’s ongoing commitment to promoting health, confidence, and empowerment through physical activity.
