International Women's Day Breakfast

You are warmly invited to our 2nd Annual International Women’s Day event:

Date: Friday, 8 March

Time: 7am - 8am

Location: Dumabudla, Haileybury Rendall School

This year’s theme is Count Her In. We are very excited to announce that our guest speaker will be rising star, Janet Baird. Janet’s inspiring journey with AFLW clubs Hawthorn and the Gold Coast Suns, as well her important work with the Stars Foundation, will be shared along with presentations from our School Captains, Prefects and musicians. Breakfast will be served throughout.

Money raised through this event will be donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

The International Women’s Day Breakfast is not just for women, but everyone who supports the achievement of women and are committed to women’s equality. We hope that Haileybury Rendall School staff, students, and friends will enjoy beginning the day with this wonderful community event, most suitable for ages Year 5 and above.

Register for World’s Greatest Shave 2024

It is that time of year again, where our school community starts to prepare for the World’s Greatest Shave. Haileybury Rendall School will be holding its annual fundraising event where our students and staff will once again shave or colour their hair on Friday, 22 March.

The funds our school raises for the Leukaemia Foundation go towards supporting patients and their families, as well as blood cancer research. This money helps support thousands of Australians every year by providing services, information, emotional support and advocacy, educational programs, and access to a 'home away from home' accommodation for regional families that are required to relocate to the city for treatment.

This year we are aiming to increase our donation so please help and support our fundraising for the Leukaemia Foundation, so they can continue with the amazing support they offer the community.

If you are interested in shaving or colouring your hair and fundraising for the World’s Greatest Shave, please register here.

Once you have joined our team or you need help signing up, please email me.

Thank you, your support is greatly appreciated.

Camp Australia @ HRS

Our first few weeks back at school to begin Term 1, 2024 have been busy! With fantastic numbers turning out for each and every single one of our sessions, both at Before and After School Care.

In this time, as an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) group, we have celebrated Chinese New Year, with our display wall on showcase in our main OSHC room, with just a snippet of items highlighting our work done throughout that week.

We have also set up a cultural area within our main OSHC room, and this has been reflected through a crocodile (a Larrakia people Totem) representation, produced by Erin Chaplin, Margot Vellar, Poppy Hewitt, Annika Edlund, Tara Bradley, and Alva Chai.

In bringing our community within our OSHC group closer together, we have on display our CA (Camp Australia) Hands, which is a selection of children whom have come together to create a tree, showcasing our togetherness.

On Thursday, 7 March, we have our ‘Youth and Schools, Clean up Australia Day’ taking place at After School Care. As a group, we will be all putting on our gloves, and filling garbage bags with rubbish around our school grounds here at Haileybury Rendall School and doing our part for this day. So please, join in for this session, and let’s do this together.
