'We Are Haileybury' Art Exhibition
This term, Haileybury Rendall School opened its first end-of-year art exhibition entitled We Are Haileybury, showcasing work by all art students from Transition through to Year 12.
It was an excellent opportunity for students to show off their hard work and new-found skills to their peers and parents. The exhibition also provided the wider school community with an opportunity to view the successful art program at Haileybury Rendall School.
On show were artworks that employed techniques from movements such as Cubism, Impressionism and Expressionism, as well as the disciplines of drawing, printmaking, sculpture, painting, photography and digital art. Also on display were folios investigating concepts such as the media, urban development, feminism and culture from our senior IBDP and VCE Studio Arts students.
The exhibition has been a great success and has been keenly visited by students during lunchtimes, providing a good opportunity for students with a creative outlet to view and discuss the artworks with their friends.
Thanks to all of the students who have provided their works for display as well as Art teachers Mr Currall, Ms Woortman, Ms Chalmers, Mr Barker and Ms Bradley for their assistance. Special thanks to Matilda McCullough, Tim Cowan and the Studio Arts class for their help in mounting the exhibition.
