Australian Brain Bee Champion!

Congratulations to Year 10 student Peter Susanto, who recently won the national final at the Australian Brain Bee Challenge!

Peter travelled to Adelaide to compete for the top prize in Australia's leading high school neuroscience competition.

The Australian Brain Bee Challenge is a competition for Year 10 students around Australia to learn about the brain, its functions and neuroscience research. They also find out about careers in neuroscience and the misconceptions about neurological and mental illnesses.

During the final, Peter completed a series of tests before being tested in a live Q & A. After a fantastic performance, Peter was the first student from the NT to win!

Peter will head to Washington DC to compete in the International Brain Bee World Championship in 2020.

“For me that’s a really good achievement because I get to represent the Northern Territory on an international scale,” he said.

The Haileybury Rendall School community is so proud of Peter's achievements and how well he represented the School.
